The tour guide, Melissa was professional, and all local tour guides were great. The only negatives were the facilities/hotel. In Ibis Styles Roma Aurelia, the room seemed to have never been used, the body soaps were empty, had to come down to get new soap. The A/C was not working, the air was stifling. The 2nd day, when we came back from the trip, the room was clean. BUT toilet paper was out Had to come down to get it. Notified front desk about the A/C fan. Nothing was done. At Parco Delle Rose, at dinner, the servers were understaffed. At Casa Leonori, this one is worst. NO changing towels! Had to come down to get it ourselves. The hotel probably has short term tourists come and go, so they don't care much about servicing, and were unfriendly to guests. At around 9pm, hosts disappeared from front desk, because they would have lots of complained about services. In summary, all hotels know that guests come and go. Knowing that, foreigner guests' feelings don't matter to them. As long as they got money, that's what matters.
The tour was as described. However, while the tour director was good with her directions, overall I felt she was a bit boring. The local tour guides were fantastic. They kept you engaged. We paid for 3 meals. 1st was the Treasures of Rome and Dinner. While it did say walking, it was almost 2 hours, and that was a lot after a whole day of walking. The meal couldnt not of been any worse. Pasta was hard, service underwhelming. The whole evening was a disappointment. 2nd dinner in Tuscany was fantastic. 3rd dinner in Venice was good. Hotels are not near anything so if you want to do something at night you have to Uber or stay put. I assume they do that to keep costs down. Hotels are clean, beds are hard as a rock. I have another trip booked in April, but while everything was adequate, Ill be looking at different touring companies in the future.
