Our tour director was outstanding But I would like you to forward this on to Gate1 In the itinerary, it said we were going by an art school with children to bring supplies That supplies were needed This was actually just a sales pitch to buy expensive paintings that wasn’t even painted by the children We went to this art school. There were no children there The artist that ran the school is very well off. This was very misrepresented The itinerary made it sound like we were giving to misfortunate children No misfortune children at this art school Very high end $$$ art school And then we had dinner there Which was not that good Gate1 needs do revisit this
Traveling with Gate 1 was excellent in all ways. The staff was very pleasant and knowledgeable. The accommodations were very good also. Every hotel was top notch. I would stay at any one of them again. We will be exploring other Gate 1 trips in the future.
In truth, our Southeast Asia experience far exceeded our expectations! Every aspect of the trip was excellent. Our tour manager, Steve, must be commended for his commitment to our group throughout the trip both during and after (he forwarded photos and checked on us after departure). Each of our individual tour guides for the respective countries were equally committed, knowledgeable and very friendly. The countries we visited were amazing - we saw highlights of each country, but we also were able to experience the lives of the local people - some good parts and some very much all too real. As for our group of 20, we were very fortunate to have a great group that got along and looked out for each other. New friends were made on this trip. We look forward to continuing to experience discoveries that Gate 1 and AffordableTours.com has to offer.
